In case you ever wondered how car scenes are shot, here you have it. A car on a trailer pulled behind a truck. Meanwhile 3 or 4 more vehicles caravan ahead (or behind) full of crew (a few grips, the makeup girls, wardrobe, the medic, camera, director, some AD’s and…me. Of course almost none of the shots have dialogue. We run mics anyway in case somebody burbs or farts or something. Almost assuradly not to be used. Ah well.
So anyway, pretty sleepy day. Brought a book to read – How bluegrass music destroyed my life, by John Fahey. Seems likes its basically his memoirs beginningf when he is 5 years old. Now that I’ve begun it I’m starting to think it might actually be about what the title says.
Only a few more days left of this anyway. I heard someone say something funny at the beginning of the day yesterday (Tuesday), “welp, only 60 hours left.” And yes, yesterday was another 14 hrs. If the rest of the week is consistent the that won’t be far off.
