Awesome to hear from you again.
Less than a month and the world gets to hear our secret!
I was just talking about you (relating to Robert Anton Wilson) the other day.
Send me an email sometime, etc

The first paragraph is a warm up, but the second, now there is something there-- the beginning of something. People find other people's jobs interesting ... I think you are into a vein of precious metal here. Keep digging, but don't stray from the vein.-- jo

Nice to know someone is still paying attention.

I forgot to mention another reason for my absence from blogland was an intent to turn my literary muscles to the production of some fiction. Some success was achieved early on (I'd even thought to send it to you since you provided the instigating kick in the pants - interested?) though I sort of lost the gumption when I couldn't keep up the 2 hour discipline per day (as suggested in This year you will write your novel. Still hopeful though. I'm not really an 'outline' kind of writer. I just sit down and vomit words and hope they arrange themselves in an entertaining way. More like a stream of consciousness kind of thing.

As for the reunion I had initial thought about going but (thankfully, perhaps) my work schedule prohibits it. Film biz comes and goes like the tides. I already took 2 weeks off from this show to spend with my son who lives in KS. Good time well spent. Still, kind of set us back and I have to take all the work i can get (I'm booked through the 16th).

I just got wind that our class reunion is the weekend of 8/12. You know I'm a facebook hater, so I'm out of the loop-- are you going? I'm thinking no, but was just curious ... I am at once intrigued and a bit nauseous at the prospect of actually showing up ... let me know, I'm still toying with the idea of popping into town for the weekend. By the way, how goes the novel? ... novella? ... short-story? ... blog-post? (good start, you are ahead of me)-- I'm still developing a "concept," to form an "idea," for an "outline" ... such is the creative process.

Thanks for the encouragement old friend. You either know me well or have a knack for sensing a novel that is straining to escape it's author's head.

Ordering on amazon right now.

Just took a chance to see if there was a new posting (after not trying for about 6 months). so glad I did. You made a "20-60s+" women (me) (but not a Mary Kayesque type) chuckle out loud. thanks. later.

Yeah, we always had a feeling there were cool people nearby but we only ever got to know Leroy down the street (and his dog, Pata). Too bad we didn't hang out. Golden was indeed very special and the year or so we were there flew by so fast its hard to believe we were ever actually there. We've moved into Santa Fe proper now and boy do I miss the quiet (and the dark). Well, I guess if you're ever back in the area drop us a line. Still would be happy to meet you. lossycodec@gmail.com

Hey, I happened upon your blog of your time in Golden, and was surprised as my husband and I ( and many many dogs) lived in Golden at the end of Luz del Cielo from August 2004 to August 2009, so you were our neighbors at one point but I guess we never ran into each other. Funny for such a small town, huh? We sold our house last year and moved to the east and miss it like crazy. What a magical place. I had to share a comment since only a few people in this world have had a chance to live in a place as special as Golden.
